Guidelines for organizing programmes and activities bearing on Administration and Human Resource Management at the Courts of the Church.

Preamble

These guidelines are meant to tell how structures at the Courts of the Church will help address issues bearing on administration and human resource management.

Structure

A. Congregational Level

Committee on Administration, properties, Statistics and Human Resource Management.

Objective of the Committee

The overarching objective of this committee will be to harmonize and advise the Local Session on issues involving administration, properties management, statistics and human resource management at the congregational level.

Membership

The Local Session will appoint the following to constitute the committee

1. Minister/Agent

2. Session Clerk

3. One Presbyter

4. Treasurer

5. One person with background in AHRM

6. One person with background in Properties Management

7. One Legal adviser, if available

Functions

1. Advise the Local Session on the engagement of personnel for the congregation

2. Determine duties and job descriptions for personnel at the congregational level

3. Deal with all issues relating to the welfare of the Agents and members of the congregation

4. Manage property acquisition by the congregation

5. Ensure effective management of properties

6. Provide guidelines for the acquisition of basic logistical needs for offices and other areas as the need may arise.

7. Provide simple format for gathering statistical information 8. Evolve a methodical planning process for the congregation

B. District Level

District Committee on Administration, Properties, Statistics and Human Resource Management

Object of the Committee

The overall objective of this committee will be to harmonize and advise the District Session on all matters relating to administration, properties management, statistics and human resource management within the District.

Membership

1. Minister/Agent

2. District Session Clerk

3. Treasurer

4. Three persons with background in AHRM

5. Three persons with background in Properties Management

6. One Legal adviser, if available Functions

1. Advise the District Session on the engagement of personnel
